RF Micro-Needling is a non-invasive treatment that targets a wide variety of skin concerns.
The micro-needles gently penetrate the skin – not enough to cause any damage, but enough to “trick” your body into thinking that damage is awry and in an attempt to heal, starts increasing production of proteins collagen and elastin in the treated area. These micro-injuries are heightened with the introduction of RF technology, being directly administered to the second layer of the skin (the dermis) to effectively boost the impact of the treatment, by causing the collagen structures to tighten and, over time, to increase collagen production too. The needles used in the treatments are insulated, except for their tips, so that the RF (targeted heat) energy they dispense is delivered directly to the dermis, rather than dispersed into the more superficial layers that the needles are passing through, minimising downtime and lessening risks previously associated with either stand-alone treatments.
