The Perfect Peel® blends glutathione, kojic acid, TCA, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, and a blend of minerals and vitamins, including vitamin C. Kojic acid is a powerful lightening agent and proven to increase collagen and elastin production, resulting in skin that is brighter and tighter. TCA, phenol and retinoic acid reduce wrinkles and correct pigment problems, while salicylic acid exfoliates the skin and reduces inflammation.

Chemical peeling is one of the most popular and effective aesthetics treatments, helping patients rejuvenate and improve the overall health and appearance of the dermis. However, not all chemical peels are created equally: from the “at-home” high-street, single-active serum, to a medically-administered, medium-depth clinical peel, it can be unclear what sets an “ok” peel apart from an “incredible” peeling system. Chemical peels are generally classified as superficial, medium or deep, depending on the depth of penetration after application. A number of peeling agents are capable of achieving a range of penetration depths, depending on their percentage and method of application.

The Perfect Peel® FAQs

WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE DURING THE PERFECT PEEL® TREATMENT PROCESS AND POST PEEL?

Immediately upon application, the skin will either appear tight, red, like a sunburn, or darker than normal. The peel solution needs to stay on the area for at least 6 hours. Some discomfort and irritation is considered normal. Remember, this is a medical chemical peel.

On day three peeling will begin. The Perfect Peel® home care moisturiser (which would’ve been given to you within your treatment appointment) will reduce the visibility of peeling with hydration. By day seven to ten, the peeling process should be complete, although some flaking and redness may still be occurring in some treated areas. Expect transformed, rejuvenated skin to appear, with results being visibly astonishing, only improving for the next 20 days into your cellular cycle.

You’ll receive full aftercare instructions and our Patient Care Team are always on the other end of the phone, to help answer any questions you might have should they arise. External products, including Make-up may be worn on day 3-5 of the peeling process, but we would urge patients to hold off as long as they can to optimise results during the healing process.

DOES THE PERFECT PEEL® HURT?

The patient may feel a slight stinging or tingling sensation which will subside after just a few seconds. Numbing takes place once the first pass of The Perfect Peel® solution is applied. A fan or cool breeze may be used during application to maximise comfort for the patient.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PERFECT PEEL® & THE PERFECT PEEL® SUPERBLEND?

If you are wanting an intense peel experience, The Perfect Peel® is a fantastic option – featuring the star ingredient, Phenol – it is a blend of active exfoliants, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, including vitamin C, that look to target medium-depths of the skin and can only be performed by our ESHO. Associates, Doctors and Dr. Esho himself. Peeling begins on day 3 and is typically completed around days 7-10, with full results visible at day 28.

If you’re looking for a peel that is more potent than most in-clinic chemical peels, but not as intensive as The Perfect Peel® in visible downtime, The Perfect Peel® Superblend is for you. The Perfect Peel® Superblend is the UK’s first superficial to medium depth, medical-grade chemical peel to blend Glutathione with 8 acids and resorcinol to produce maximum results with minimal risks. It is also slightly less in price, and can be performed by both our Skin Specialists and ESHO. Associates alike. Mild peeling and flaking begins day 3-4, will complete around day 7, with full results at day 28.
