ClearVein by Alma Lasers

CULTSKIN® is a 12 month subscription service which entitles the patient to one advanced skin treatment every month for a year!

A more intense, step-up alternative within the ClearVein series from Alma lasers; the ClearVein LongYag uses infrared light laser that works by photo-thermal coagulation treating deeper or more obvious vascular lesions on the face and body! It is a non-invasive treatment that utilises the combination of both IPL and precise laser wavelengths that ONLY target the malformed blood vessel beneath the skin.

The ClearVein LongYag works by coagulating and stopping the blood supply to the vessel, causing it to ultimately shrink and deteriorate the lesions through the bodies’ immune response via lymphatic drainage.

In most cases, patients usually require 6-8 sessions of ClearVein LongYag treatments, once every 4 weeks. However, to proceed with ClearVein LongYag treatment, you are required to have a medical consultation and patch test, at least 48 hours prior, that will be carried out with one of our ESHO. MD Clinical Skin Specialists, who will assess and recommend the most suitable treatment course.

ClearVein LongYag offers a powerful solution to vascular lesions, such as, but not limited to:

  • Spider Veins
  • Leg Veins
  • Hemangiomas
  • Spider Veins
  • Venus Lake
  • Telangiectasia
  • Port Wine Stains
  • Cherry/Spider Angiomas

ClearVein LongYag FAQs

The ClearVein LongYag treatment doesn’t typically have any ‘downtime’. Usually following the procedure, you may find that the vessel appears darker in complexion or may have a white casting across the treated vessel.

You may experience some warmth around the treatment area for the following few days and may have slight erythema around the treated vessels, but this should subside quickly if aftercare advice has been followed effectively.

Depending on the depth of the vessel, you may see visible results within a few days or months following treatment, as it can take effect on patients differently. It can take several treatments of ClearVein LongYag to effectively treat the vessel. Lifestyle factors and maintenance between treatments can also affect the effectiveness of the treatment. So please ensure that you follow ALL the advice provided to you by your ESHO. Skin Specialist.

Following your ClearVein LongYag treatment or within your treatment plan, it is strongly recommended to avoid direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks post-treatment. This is to reduce the worsening of the vascular condition and to prevent the development of hyperpigmentation. You should be regularly applying SPF to your face or the area as part of your skincare regime already, but please be extra diligent and even wear a hat when applicable.

Likewise, if you are due to go on holiday, you must avoid ClearVein LongYag treatment 2 weeks before holiday. Please also avoid applying artificial tan on the treatment area when undergoing treatment too!
