Multi colour tattoo removal requires a high powered laser that can deliver enough energy to be absorbed by all colours.

The high power QSwitch Nd YAG 1064nm laser is ideal for treating darker colours while the 532nm wavelength is effective for brighter ink colours.

The mechanical QSwitch laser works by vibrating and breaking down the ink particles in the tattoo. As the area heals the body’s immune system just flushes the shattered ink particles away causing the tattoo to fade with minimal risk of scaring and hypopigmentation.

Typically most patients need 8-12 sessions this does depend on the tattoo.

A medical consultation is required to asses the tattoo and determine an estimate of how many sessions may be necessary.

Tattoo removal isn’t the most comfortable of laser treatments but in most cases it doesn’t hurt as much as actually having the tattoo done! Topical anaesthetic can be used if the patient finds it uncomfortable.
The powerful Q-Switch NdYAG laser uses multiple wavelengths so it can treat tattoos of all colours. The laser penetrates deep into the skin and targets the ink which then begins to breakdown into shattered ink particles which the body naturally excretes.
