LIPOTHERAPY

WHAT IS AQUALYX?

Aqualyx® is an injectable used in the treatment of localised fat to produce fat breakdown and sculpting.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED?

The treatment consists of the injections into the areas of fat highlighted, after these have been treated with a local anaesthetic. The number sessions that are required depends on the target area.

On average 2 to 4 sessions are needed for moderate areas. These should be applied every three weeks or until desired effect is reached.

IS IT SAFE?

Yes – as with any procedure there is a small risk of complications such as allergic reactions to the substance used or to the anaesthesia (usually mild, which remit with the appropriate treatment or even without treatment), bruising, oedema or swelling usually that subside shortly after without need for treatment.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE LAST?

This can very depending on the area needed to treat but on average it lasts approximately 30 minutes.
